Deep Dive for Clarks Summit, PA Owners

We model wind uplift zones and specify fastener density to match exposures near coastlines and open fields.

We design drainage planes that consider fascia height, gutter size, and downspout placement to move tropical rain quickly.

We balance intake and exhaust ventilation using ridge, soffit, and auxiliary vents to maintain attic equilibrium.

Our crews run pre-job mockups for complex flashings, chimneys, and skylights to ensure crisp lines and zero leaks.

We protect landscaping, pavers, and pools with covers and polite routing.

We coach clients on maintenance: seasonal gutter checks, tree trimming, and vent clearances to keep air moving.

For commercial roofs, we log every penetration and provide roof maps so future trades do not compromise the system.

Cool-roof assemblies, radiant barriers, and light-colored metal can lower attic temps and extend material life.

We prefer closed-cut valleys, wide metal, and hand-sealed starter courses for maximum longevity.

Tile projects get properly flashed and pan-sealed valleys, with batten systems sized to manufacturer specs.

Metal roofs are laid with concealed fasteners where possible, clip spacing tuned to panel length, and sealant beads placed at critical laps.

We spec walk pads around HVAC and traffic paths to protect membranes.

We remain on call for questions long after the final inspection.

If you are planning solar, we coordinate attachment layouts to preserve watertightness and warranty compliance.

The first settler in the area currently known as Clarks Summit was William Clark. Clark had fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War, and as payment for his military service, he was issued 800 acres (3.2 km2) of Pennsylvania land by Congress. Because of disputes between Pennsylvania and Connecticut over the area of land that is now northern Pennsylvania (resulting in the Pennamite-Yankee War), the land deed issued to Clark was deemed invalid by the Luzerne County land grant office. Clark had no choice but to pay for the land himself. In March 1799, Clark and his three sons moved into a log cabin in the Abington wilderness, located on what is currently the Clarks Green Cemetery. The first school was built in 1893 and was destroyed by fire two years later. The village of Clarks Summit and an adjacent tract of land were incorporated into the Borough of Clarks Summit on August 30, 1911.
